Amira
Amira, originally from Estonia, is currently living and working in Las Vegas, NV. She teaches workshops and seminars globally, and has become one of the most frequently requested bellydancers, performing at some of the most prestigious venues in the USA, her native Estonia and in Egypt. The Arab community has referred to her as “a true Arabic dancer,” and has commented that she captures the very essence Middle Eastern dance - the feel for the music. Amira’s expression, her interpretation of the music and her body language captivate and mesmerize audiences everywhere.
Amira has been a featured bellydancer in one of the concerts starring Elyssa, a famous Lebanese pop singer at the Paris hotel in Las Vegas.
She also performed a Flamenco solo part in the “Beats of Passion” show on the stage of the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas in 2001.
In 2005, she released her first instructional DVD entitled “Bellydance 101”, geared more toward the beginning dancer. Featuring the beautiful music of widely acclaimed global recording artists Phil Thornton and Hossam Ramzy, this DVD has already earned widespread accolades for Amira's clear and supportive teaching style, her attention to solid technique, as well as for its exceptional production quality. With its success in the U.K., in cooperation with the publishing house of New World Music Ltd., "Amira’s Music for Bellydance" Compilation CD was released in the spring of 2006.
Amira has studied Middle-Eastern dance since 1999 and Flamenco since 1997. Her list of teachers starts with some of the best Las Vegas local teachers and continues on with world renown award-winning masters. Ever expanding her repertoire, she has studied fire eating under the tutelage of the Cirque du Soleil “O” show performer Ray Wold. Being 5’10” and multilingual she has been chosen as bellydance model and spokesperson for one of the biggest dance retail companies in US “Eurotard”.
Amira has taught numerous workshops all over the USA including Hawaii, in Europe, Estonia, and in South America. She has an extensive background in both the medical field and music, being a graduate of 9 years of classical piano study, 2 years of guitar and 5 years of saxophone.
